Junior Commercial Finance Analyst

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 + Bonus

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team as a Junior Commercial Finance Analyst!

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial planning and analysis functions. This role will involve close collaboration with various departments to provide financial insights, contribute to strategic decision-making, and drive profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of financial modelling and analysis. So if you love attention to detail, translating complex financial data, partnering with key stakeholders and know your way around excel, this is the role for you.

We are more than happy to consider applications from candidates with either part, or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, and will ideally have expeirience in a multi-site, consumer-facing industry. Previous experience with stock and margin accounting would also put you at a strong advantage!

What will you get up to?

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Preparing detailed financial analyses, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and variance analysis, to support business decisions.

  • Ad hoc assistance to the FP&A Manager to develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and other financial metrics

  • Business Partnering: Supporting sales, marketing, and operational teams by providing financial guidance and analysis to optimise profitability.

  • Responsibility for financial analysis of product margins, including reporting, investigation and challenge of relevant stakeholders.

  • Commercial Support: Analysing pricing strategies and assess the financial impact of new products, promotions, and other commercial activities.

  • Evaluating the financial viability of business cases, including capital expenditures, investment opportunities, and strategic projects.

  • Process Improvement: Support the IT team through ongoing maintenance and best utilisation of reporting tools including Cognos and Qlik Sense.

  • Support the development and implementation of new financial systems and tools.
