Cobalt Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with one of London's oldest Landed Estates. With over 200 properties that span residential, hotel, office and retail asset classes, our client is considered part of the fabric in Modern London despite their 350-year history. Our client has engaged us to search and select a talented Clerk of Works with experience in inspection, reporting, health and safety and project management of maintenance and upgrades for their residential and commercial portfolio. Contract admin, professional services, PPM and reactive maintenance across the residential, listed, office, industrial and mixed-use sectors.

A truly exciting opportunity for an individual keen to transition into the client side environment with a rich history of various properties across London.

Overview

The Estate team are responsible for the delivery of development and refurbishment projects, reactive maintenance & repair works and planned cyclical repair projects. The team also provide support and advice in matters relating to landlord and tenant, building defects and fire insurance reinstatement valuations.

Responsibilities

  • Business Management and Administration

  • Procurement, document control, contractor selection etc

  • Property Management

  • Tenant alterations, inspections, cyclical redecoration works

  • Refurbishment Projects

  • Voids, contract admin, CDM, site management, snagging, H&S

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the construction of traditional and modern buildings
  • Working knowledge of current CDM Regulations and H&S Legislation
  • Experienced in diagnosing common defects in buildings
  • Experienced in managing building and maintenance projects, contractors, and programmes of work
  • Commutable to London

Desirable

  • MCIOB ideal
  • Knowledge of common building services (mechanical and electrical)
  • Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation
  • Experience of working with listed buildings and an interest in the historic fabric of a central London Estate
