Regional ER / HR Advisor
Field based role, with some time spent at home and / or the HQ in East Mids
c£40k plus Car or car allowance
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join our dynamic team in the healthcare sector. This role is pivotal in supporting our UK-wide operations and will be primarily field-based, offering flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week. As an ER Advisor, you will report directly to an HR Business Partner and play a crucial role in managing a wide range of ER casework while also contributing to various People initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations Casework: Handle a diverse range of ER cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, and performance issues, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
- Advisory Support: Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on ER-related matters, fostering a positive and productive workplace environment.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively communicated.
- People Initiatives: Actively participate in and contribute to HR and People projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Field-Based Work: Travel to various sites across the UK to provide on-the-ground ER support, building strong relationships with site managers and staff.
- Remote Working: Utilize home-based working days to manage administrative tasks, case documentation, and virtual meetings effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in an ER Advisor role, preferably within the healthcare sector or a multi-site organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices in employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple ER cases simultaneously, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK as required and manage remote working efficiently.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
