Estimator
Experienced Estimator needed to join a manufacturing business located in Fairford. The company supplies doors, door kits and sets to both residential and commercial customers working on projects such as hospitals, leisure centres, schools, universities and student accommodation across the UK.
This is a full-time with possible hybrid working after a successful 3 month probation.
Due to location transport is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with every customer throughout their project
- Build ongoing relationships with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Read and analyse customer's drawings along with other documentation to prepare quotations for product costings
- Work with external staff in assessing quotes and tracking successful bids as projects develop
- Respond to any changes and adjustments to cost estimates as required
- Work with management in preparation of estimates for purposes such as planning, organising, and scheduling work for the factory.
- First point of contact for any queries relating to the estimate
- Set up and record quotes on CRM system
- Constantly review material requirements
- Prepare handover documents to production in line with project timescales
Experience and Skills required
- Experience of reading and working with architectural drawings
- Door or construction industry experience preferred
- Confidence to work on multi-million-pound bids
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
