A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a livery company focused on being a philanthropic force for good on a full time, fixed term contract basis. Each year the aim is to distribute £15 million to charitable causes.

What you'll be doing:

The Company is seeking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, including property accounting and administrative support for various committees. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of monthly financial accounts, supporting payroll reconciliation, and overseeing credit card transactions. You will also contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and financial reports, maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, and assist in coordinating audits.

What we need you to bring to the business:

  • A part qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable accounting experience
  • Strong background in producing both financial and management accounts
  • Excellent IT & communication skills
  • Focus and adaptability are essential qualities, along with a willingness to learn and improve processes
  • Experience in payroll reconciliation would be advantageous
