We have an initial 12 month temporary Production Operator role available within TATA Steel/ Catnic Lintels site. This role is ideal for someone with press and powdering skills and experience and considers themselves to be punctual, reliable and proactive.
Role: Production Operator or Machine Setter (Preferably withCNC Operator or Powder Coater experience)
**Location:**Pontypandy Industrial Estate, Caerphilly CF83 3GL
Rate: £14.67ph (Grade F night rate)
Overtime: £17.16ph-£22.88ph
Contract length: 12 months initially
Shift Patterns: Mon-Wed 8:30pm-7:00am and Thu night 6:30pm -4:30am Nightshifts
Opportunity for overtime is also available and successful applicants should be open to this if needed
Responsibilities:
- Operating Powder coating equipment and related tools
- Preparing surfaces for powder coating
- Ensuring high quality on finished products
- Carrying out touch up coating as required on finished products
- Operating brake press in order to manufacture items to a high standard
- Adhering to the plants procedures and PPE instructions at all times
- Undertake safe operation of equipment and machines within the Engineering Shop, including basic maintenance
- Working within COSHH regulations
- Adhering to UK Health and Safety legislation at all times
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience powder coating (2+ years)
- Previous experience as a CNC press Operator (2+years)
- Previous experience within a heavy industrial fabrication environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adhere to the night shift pattern
- Flexibility towards overtime
- Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
