Description

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organisation.
  • Processing and recording transactions accurately and timely.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and statements.
  • Performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
  • Adhering to the company's financial policies and procedures.
  • Attending finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.
  • Contributing to the company's financial goals and objectives, and enhancing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
