The Opportunity:

Nigel Wright Group are exclusively retained by a not-for-profit market leading technology business in their search for a commercially astute, results driven Head of Sales. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer this role will lead the new business and account management function and is responsible for delivering a multi-million pound team target. With an ambitious three year growth strategy in place, this is an exciting time to join the business. The role is hybrid with regular visits to Newcastle city centre.

Role Profile:

  • Develop and implement robust sales enablement programs encompassing training, coaching, tools, and resources to empower the sales force.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create compelling sales collateral, presentations, and assets that facilitate the sales process and drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, including sales metrics, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting to glean actionable insights and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies accordingly.
  • Optimise sales processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and alignment across the organisation.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a results-driven sales team, instilling a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and continuous improvement within the sales team.

  • Demonstrable experience of sales leadership within a B2B SaaS environment.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Experience of recruiting and developing a team of sales professionals.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools to track sales activity, manage pipelines, and generate reports.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Desirable

  • Degree in business admin, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in facilities management
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
