BANK DRIVER

MUCH HADHAM AND SURROUNDING AREAS

Are you an experienced Driver wanting to control your working day with flexibility to work the shifts that suit you?

About the role

We are seeking a confident driver to safely escort our residents and learners from our site in Much Hadham to and from appointments and organised outings, ensuring our children and young people who live and learn at St Elizabeth's get access to a wide range of opportunities in the community.

Whether you are looking for extra shifts to boost your income or a flexible role that fits around your lifestyle then this could be the role for you. The postholder will have responsibility for daily safety checks on the vehicle and will provide a helpful and courteous service to passengers, supporting them with personal belongings and mobility equipment where needed.

About you

You will be a confident, safe and experienced driver, holding a UK valid driving licence with classes B, BE and ideally D1. You will have excellent navigation skills and good knowledge of the local area and road safety laws.

This role is offered on a Bank basis. The hours available will vary but a commitment to a minimum of 5 hours per week (which may include some weekends) would be beneficial to ensure our residents and learners continue to have access to external opportunities and to ensure familiarity of the service is retained. Hours will be discussed with shortlisted candidates at interview. For insurance purposes, the post holder should be over the age of 25.

How to apply

Please complete an application form and upload an up to date CV on our website. All offers are conditional and subject to receipt of satisfactory pre-employment checks and references including an enhanced DBS check. Please note we are not on a public transport route.

Applications will be reviewed and interviews scheduled on a rolling basis; therefore, we recommend that you apply sooner rather than later. We reserve the right to close an advert if we receive sufficient applications ahead of the deadline. If you require reasonable adjustments at application or interview stage, please do let us know as soon as possible.
