Property Support Apprentice

SouthSide employs a team of around 40 full and part-time team members who have all played a part in the company's growth and success and who bring a wealth of knowledge to our clients. As a company, we focus on long-term relationships and excluding new team members recruited this year, over half of our team have been with the company for between five and fourteen years.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing utilities and broadband accounts and associated mail using the Office 365 package
  • Dealing with phone and email enquiries and accounts including searching for and processing payments, processing invoices, credit card reconciliation and updating company SAM database
  • Assisting with purchase/sales ledgers and credit control
  • Using Excel spreadsheets to record and compare data, becoming a systems expert using Xero software for finance
  • Assisting with front of house point of contact for visitors and callers into the office where required, directing to the correct team member on the SAM Database
  • Assembling tenant welcome bags where required
  • Assisting with improving processes and procedures within the company including improvement of standard forms and templates and the ways we work throughout the office

Desirable skills:

  • Able to establish and maintain relationships
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a pressurised environment
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous work experience, ideally in a customer facing role
  • PC skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Teams

Salary:

£15,000 per annum

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm, 8.30am - 5.30pm or 9am - 6pm, with 1 Saturday per month, on a rota basis - generally from 8.30am to 12.30pm

Benefits:

  • Salary review subject to performance as follows: After 4 months typically an increase to £16,000, after 7 months typically an increase to £17,000, after 10 months typically an increase to £18,000
  • Pension Scheme (contributions matched by the company up to 5%) after 3 months
