Customer Research Lead

**Job Purpose:

Manage the customer and stakeholder interview pipeline for growth & innovation initiatives, understand customers needs and synthesize and document insight, learns to design, and drives the product experimentation plans

**Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead research activities, taking ownership of the end-to-end research process, from planning and designing studies to conducting research and presenting actionable insights
  • Collaborate with product management to develop hypotheses for customer segment, customer problem, current behaviour, value proposition, price sensitivity and others
  • Design qualitative and quantitative validation interviews
  • Select, source and engage audiences for the interviews
  • Conduct interviews, capture and analyse responses to determine insights
  • Present findings and make recommendations drawn from data captured
  • Create and maintain customer archetypes / personas based on research findings, ensuring a deep understanding of the target customer(s)
  • Support the development and measurement of initiative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

**Essential knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications & competencies:

  • Self-motivated and independent worker, who can thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Strong customer development experience
  • Experience working in a lean startup environment
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn customer data into actionable insight driving value for the customer
  • Experience in online market research
  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data from multiple sources
  • Ability to work effectively with people across different functions
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver quality at speed by making things happen
  • Future energy experience advantageous
