Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled senior accountant to join our client's dynamic team.

The successful candidate will have full responsibility for managing various financial aspects of the company, utilising Sage 50 accounting software.

Responsibilities:-

Accounting to Trial Balance:

  • Oversee the input of purchase and sales invoices.
  • Monitor cash expenses.
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, including credit control.
  • Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts.
  • Handle fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Perform quarterly WIP and stock adjustments.
  • Ensure Sage software updates and housekeeping

Project Budgeting and Management:

  • Responsible for Stage 3 project reconciliation and client invoice preparation.
  • Conduct financial project management and archiving with assistance.

Quarterly Management Accounts:

  • Prepare quarterly management accounts for MD, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Analyse sales by designer profitability and generate required reports

HR/Payroll/Pension and Online Submissions:

  • Manage monthly payroll and year-end reconciliations.
  • Handle online submissions to Inland Revenue.
  • Maintain holiday, sickness records, and NEST Workplace Pensions preparations.

Client Fee Billing:

  • Collate and check monthly client hours and prepare project timesheets for authorization.
  • Issue client fee invoices, including expense recharges.
  • Archive completed projects and maintain software.
  • Utilize Harvest software for reporting

Company Taxation:

  • Reconcile VAT and submit quarterly returns online.
  • Manage corporation tax payments and obligations.
  • Handle company secretarial responsibilities, including the annual return.

Premises, Vehicle, & Insurance Management:

  • Ensure timely payments of rent and service charges.
  • Provide information to landlords.
  • Manage various insurance policies and annual reviews.

Supervision of Accounts/Admin Assistant:

  • Conduct appraisals of line management staff.
