Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a leading Food Manufacturing company to find an exceptional Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join the existing team delivering the best performance and dependable equipment whilst contributing to both safety and efficiency.

Role: Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer
Location: Tower Hamlets
Package: 52,800, Pension up to 8% Matched, Company Share Save Scheme, Employee Discount Platform & Wellbeing Centre, Additional Qualification & Training.
Shifts: 4 on and 4 off (Days/Nights)- 5am-5pm

Your Role: You will be required to combine hands-on Maintenance expertise, in-depth equipment knowledge, and robust communication skills to ensure the reliability and availability of all site assets

What You'll Do:

As one of our client's highly skilled Maintenance Engineers, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out fault finding, problem-solving and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance
  • Responding to internal customer needs to maximise production time according to given priorities
  • Complying with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
  • Completing all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit-ready
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintenance of a range of manufacturing/production/packaging machinery
  • Maintain all site assets to meet stringent site requirements and ensure their continuous availability.
  • Provide comprehensive Mechanical and Electrical support for all assets and projects, validated by the site Engineering Management team.

Who You Are:

  • A seasoned Engineer with hands-on experience, ideally within the FMCG/ Manufacturing sector, supported by qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical fields, Apprenticeship trained would be highly desirable.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving a variety of equipment issues, with a broad knowledge of Hydraulics, Mechanical, Electrical, and PLC/Inverter Assets.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise: Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or similar.
  • A strong communicator who can prioritise effectively in fast-paced environments
