Learning Support Assistant – Special Educational Needs School

This role requires a learning support assistant to provide small group support for children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, MLD, SLD, Physical Disabilities and Complex Needs. Classes are small and staff are friendly, children who attend this school feel supported and nurtured. The Headteacher is an excellent role model who leads by example, and you will receive excellent support form a welcoming team. Job Role:

  • Supporting children with special needs on a group basis.
  • Having a good understanding of MLD, Autism, or SLD.
  • Working as a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant.
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and nurturing.
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours.
