Accounts Assistant

We are currently working with an expanding construction based company who are recruiting for an additional Accounts Assistant to join their Payroll & Accounting team.

This exciting opportunity as an Accounts Assistant will be to carry out administrative tasks to support the accounts and finance department, ensuring that relevant processes are followed and information is processed accurately and efficiently. It also offers an excellent possibility for progression within the company.

Main responsibilities will include assisting with the sales ledger, purchase order and payroll processes alongside reconciliations for credit cards, credit control and assisting the Finance Manager with the running of the company accounts functions and inputting data into the sage system. Working with the department and making regular Sage updates, following KANBAN scheduling systems and accurately collating and calculating data to a schedule whilst following the company processes. Experience of running payroll and completing month end reports.

An excellent eye for detail, organised and accurate approach along with a strong knowledge of Excel, Sage 50/100 accounts and a proven background within a similar office based role are essential to this position. This will be a busy role, working alongside an existing team and offers excellent growth potential for the successful candidate. Experience of payroll and completing month end reports is essential

Working hours will be Monday-Friday covering 40-42.5hrs per week which is negotiable and will be 100% office based. A method of transport is essential due to public transport links.
