We are looking for 2 Underwriters, to handle the full cycle of Underwriting right from supporting the groundwork to coming up with a premium, you will be joining one of the largest charities brokers in the UK with a GWP of £16m.
Working in the mid-corporate to corporate team, your responsibilities include but are not limited to-
- Handling a book of defined existing businesses with premium levels over £7k.
- Working with the other Underwriters as a team to successfully handle schemes
- Being responsible for ensuring own renewal retention, cross-sell, and organic growth.
- Preparing and submitting well-thought-out referrals on risks that fall outside your authority to either the Lead Underwriter and/or the Insurers.
To be successful in this role, you will have-
- An eye for detail.
- With proven experience working as an Underwriter, ideally, you will have covered commercial product classes- property and casualty, we are also open to considering candidates with solid underwriting experience across other classes such as household to transition into commercial underwriting
- Impeccable analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
