We are seeking a dedicated Male Teaching Assistant to support a young boy with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in a child's life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for the child throughout the school day, helping him with his academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assist with classroom tasks, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
- Implement strategies to support the child's emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to ensure the child's individual education plan (IEP) is followed.
- Foster a trusting relationship with the child, offering consistent guidance and encouragement.
Requirements:
- Male candidate – Essential due to the specific needs of the child.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and a passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
