Responsibilities
- Assessing cases of children and families in need of protection to develop and implement care and after care plans that promote the well being and safety of children.
- Providing expertise to families and colleagues whilst working cooperatively
- Conducting home visits, assessments and reviews in accordance with guidelines
- Collaborating as a team with other professionals and agencies in order to support vulnerable individuals
- Ensuring children are protected
Requirements
- Qualification in Social work
- Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration
- Previous experience working as a Children and Families social worker
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication
- Excellent understanding of relevant policies and legislation
