If so, this might be the perfect opportunity for you! Signature Recruitment are seeking a Visa Compliance Officer to join a leading university in London. This is a full-time, temporary position with an immediate start for a three-month contract. The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with one to two days in the office and the remainder from home.
As a Visa Compliance Officer, you will have experience working in Visa applications / compliance, ideally in a Higher Education setting. You will liaise with prospective students and their representatives, read and assess documentation to advice and support international students with their visa requirements for studying in the UK. You will be working within a small but fast paced and busy team ensuring that the University complies fully with student Visa immigration regulations.
Visa Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the team mailbox to handle assigned cases
- Responding to queries relating to Visa processes effectively and efficiently both in writing and in person. Confidently signposting when necessary
- Reviewing documentation to ensure compliance. To include assessing Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) requests and financial documents, assigning CAS to eligible candidates and ensuring full compliance with sponsorship policies and immigration rules
- Handling physical Biometric Residence Permit documents and Visa processing tasks
- Conducting enrolment and right-to-study checks from mid-September
- Carrying out other ad hoc duties in order to ensure the smooth running of the department
Visa Compliance Officer Key Skills:
- Experience working in a similar Visa Compliance role - ideally within Higher Education
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisation with the ability to balance a busy workload, work independently and maintain exceptional attention to detail
- Highly Proficient IT skills - knowledge of student databases with the ability to learn and use new software packages
