Privately owned. Over £100m turnover. Growing. No layers of corporate fluff.

They've got an open-door culture, which basically means no one's walking around pretending to be more important than they are. You can talk to anyone. Refreshing, right?

They're looking for a Finance Manager. Not a spreadsheet babysitter. A proper manager. Someone who can spot when numbers don't add up - and actually cares enough to figure out why.

You'll be managing two people (Assistant Management Accountant + an Apprentice). So, you'll need to be the kind of manager who actually manages - not just delegate and disappear.

You'll own the management accounts. Start to finish. Weekly, monthly, commentary, variances - the whole lot. If numbers go wonky, you'll be the one digging in, finding out what happened, and explaining it in a way that normal human beings can understand.

This isn't the job for someone who just wants to sit behind a desk firing out reports. You need to know your numbers and be able to communicate. There's a high volume of transactions flying around too, so attention to detail isn't optional.

You'll also help out with the audit, support non-finance teams, and get involved in systems and process improvements. In other words - a bit of everything.

???????

  • You've done management accounts before - and you own them
  • You've managed people and weren't terrible at it
  • You know how to chase down a variance like it owes you money
  • You can explain financial stuff without putting people to sleep
  • Qualified, part-qualified, or QBE - no one's precious about letters here

???????????

  • Hybrid working
  • Gym on site
  • Profit share
  • Product discounts
  • A job where you're trusted to crack on and make an impact
