Mackie Myers is partnering with a prestigious university based in Central London.
The Role
As Junior Finance Business Partner, you will be part of the university's Central Finance Business Partnering Team and will manage the finances for the education directorates. This is a pivotal role where you'll deliver crucial financial and management insights alongside customer focussed support to budget holders and other stakeholders across the organisation. You will need to be excellent at building working relationships, an excellent communicator, and great at using your initiative and creativity to provide solutions to challenges.
Main duties:
- Work proactively with budget holders to support them in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Manage the development of monthly management accounts.
- Support in the preparation of the organisation's statutory accounts.
- Support the process of maintaining a relevant coding structure on ABW.
The Successful Candidate
- Actively studying for a professional accounting qualification
- Knowledgeable about finance systems
- Excellent MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience of financial planning, budget setting, forecasting, management accounts and variance analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What's on offer?
Salary c. £38,000 - £40,000. Hybrid working role with 50% of the time in office across two sites in Central London. Generous annual leave.
