Freelance Design Practitioners Wanted!

Location: South East England (Hybrid - Reigate & Remote)

Myn is recruiting for a long-term client in the South East of England. We are looking for Freelance Design Practitioners to work on exciting projects that will improve local services and make a difference in the community. This is your chance to lead design processes and tackle challenges that matter!

The Role:

You'll be working on 1-2 key projects as part of a Customer Transformation Programme. Your design work will address real-life challenges across social care, education, health, and environmental issues in Surrey.

Example projects include:

  • Improving digital services for disabled residents.
  • Redesigning the "front door" for Surrey services so residents get the right help, right when they need it.
  • Supporting children with additional needs and disabilities.
  • You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and be supported by the Transformation Design Team, which specialises in various design fields such as Business Design, Service Design, and Design Research.

What We're Looking For:

Experienced Design Practitioner: You have a toolkit of design methods and are confident facilitating design processes. Experience in Service Design, Organisational Design, Content Design, or Social Design is a plus.

Adaptable: You thrive in environments with complexity and ambiguity, and can adjust to the different needs of each stage of a project.

Passionate About Social Impact: You care about improving services for people and are driven by making a positive difference in society.

Local Government Experience (Ideal but not Essential): Previous experience working in local government is a bonus, but not a deal-breaker.

Working Arrangements:

This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote working and office-based work in Reigate. We're also committed to supporting work-life balance, particularly for those with caring responsibilities.
