Summary

We're looking for a Retail Team Member to join the team. With your enthusiasm to provide a great service, you'll welcome and talk to our visitors to the shop/outlet answering any questions they have.

Salary: £11.50 per hour

Contract duration: Permanent

Hours/working pattern: 7 hours per week with the opportunity of extra hours for events, absences and holidays. We're open 7 days a week and you'll work 1 day per week, however this could be a weekday or weekend on a flexible rota.

What it's like to work here

You'll be part of a small team of 6 staff plus our team of volunteers who help with our retail and plant offer. Reporting to the retail manager, you will be fully supported, helping you integrate into the team and learn about the wonderful products that we sell and the stories behind them.

Hardwick Hall is one of the National Trusts discovery houses in Derbyshire. Built by the infamous Bess of Hardwick in the 1500s, it is a leading example of an Elizabethan house. The estate currently attracts more than 500,000 visitors a year and the Stables shop set within the stable yard area is going from strength to strength

What you'll be doing As Retail Team Member you'll offer customers help and shopping advice with their purchases. Other duties may include receiving, unpacking, and arranging deliveries, creating shop displays and working with other members of the team to keep the shop floor area clean and organised. This role would suit anyone with an enthusiasm for delivering great customer service and an interest in learning about retail. Who we're looking for
