Your new schoolHays is in close collaboration with a remarkable primary school located in the lively heart of Notting Hill, where an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Year 1 or Nursery Teacher at this school.

Your role as a Nursery or Y1 Teacher

  • Create and plan captivating lessons aligned with learning objectives.
  • Set targets, considering students' prior knowledge and skills.
  • Adhere to school and national assessment guidelines. Keep meticulous records and communicate student progress effectively.
  • Supervise Learning Support Assistants and other classroom aides.
  • Participate actively in primary school duties, overseeing playtimes and leading school-wide and class assemblies.

What you will need to succeed in this nursery or Y1 teaching job: A successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS status.
  • Have recent experience of working in primary schools or nurseries in the UK.
  • Have good interpersonal skills.
  • Showing good standards of professionalism, being well-organised and capable of working with policy and procedure to agreed timescales.
