Account Handler

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join a great client of ours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial account handling, with a proven track record of maintaining and growing client relationships. This role is based in the Croydon area and offers a competitive salary with standard working hours.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Act as the first point of contact for client inquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms and place cover on behalf of clients.
- Handle renewals and mid-term adjustments efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure all client documentation is up to date and compliant with industry standards.
- Provide support to the sales team in acquiring new business and achieving growth targets.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay abreast of market trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Account Handler, particularly within the commercial sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proficient in managing a diverse portfolio of accounts and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CII) are desirable.
