Management Accountant

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for up to 12 months. The role involves delivering a managed service to provide a management accounts function for a Government department. This includes servicing business units, maintaining monthly forecasts, managing budgets, invoice reconciliation, and providing Audit and MI functions.
Day to day of the role:
- Service various business units with their management accounting needs.
- Maintain and manage monthly forecasts and upload annual budgets.
- Conduct invoice reconciliation and manage purchase orders and requisitions.
- Engage with budget holders and teams for effective stakeholder management.
- Handle audit queries from the National Audit Office (NAO).
- Generate management information (MI) and reports.
- Utilise financial systems such as Oracle and Hyperion to perform tasks efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Active SC clearance is essential.
- Part Qualified Management Accountant.
- Proven experience in forecast management and stakeholder engagement.
- Skilled in invoice reconciliation and PO/requisition management.
- Familiarity with audit processes and query management.
- Proficient in MI and reporting.
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion financial systems.
Desirable:
- Experience with Central Government systems and processes.
- Background in delivering consultancy services to Central Government.
