Pressbrake Fabricator

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful manufacturing organisation, who specialise in bespoke, metalwork products, located in Redditch. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pressbrake/Fabricator to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This position is working Monday - Friday with a highly competitive hourly rate offered, based on relevant experience.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within metal fabrications, the ability to work out blank sizes and bend allowances is essential and a proven ability to interpret manufacturing/ optimisation lists and specifications including hardware.

Pressbrake/Fabricator main duties:

  • Responsible for ensuring that manufacturing and optimisation lists, which include specifications and hardware are interpreted successfully to complete the manufacture requirements of the project.
  • You will recognise profile orientations and technical drawings and be able to utilise this for the manufacture of the products required.
  • Work with supplier manuals, understanding the required methods of fabrication required for different profiles.
  • Inspect own work and that of others, understanding what is required and then deciding whether what is produced is 'fit for purpose'
  • Ensure that all projects are manufactured to the highest standards and delivered on time in accordance with the client contract.
  • Strong knowledge of the systems required in the field of production and also the machinery required to fulfil the production timetable

Pressbrake/Fabricator required skills and experience:

  • Ideally have worked within metal fabrications in the past
  • Ability to work out blank sizes and bend allowances is essential
  • Proven ability to interpret manufacturing/ optimisation lists and specifications including hardware.
  • Understanding contents of supplier manuals in order to complete the required methods of fabrication and able to address this information in terms of assembly requirements
  • Ability to read and recognise profile orientations and technical drawings
  • Experienced on CNC machines
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements for their area of work
  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
  • Ability to operate different tools
