Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Winsford-based mainstream secondary school as they're looking to recruit an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to support pupils with SEN including ADHD, ADD, ASD and Dyslexia on a 1:1 basis. This is a long-term contract that will last until the end of the academic year.
Your new role
In your new role as a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis. You will be working across all year groups from 7 to 11 and take a pupil-centred approach to learning, ensuring that the individual academic and emotional needs are met. You will ensure each pupil's EHCP's are met with your duties' varying depending on the student you are supporting and their needs. For example, when supporting ASD, you will be required to work on speech and language, ADD and ADHD will require behaviour management and Dyslexia will require guided reading and English interventions.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as extensive referenceable experience supporting children and/or young people, as well as:
- Experience supporting SEN
- Be willing to commit a full-time contract
- An NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is advantageous but not essential
