School Student Receptionist Administrator Attendance Enrichment Focus

We are seeking a dedicated Student Receptionist Administrator with a focus on Attendance Enrichment to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for maintaining effective administrative services related to student attendance and providing excellent reception support an academy in East London.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for providing an effective administrative service relating to attendance.

Providing an effective student reception service & contributing to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people.

Hourly Rate: £14-16.00ph (PAYE)

Location: Onsite (No Hybrid Opportunity)

Job Type: Full-time

Temporary

Working Hours: Mon/Wed/Thurs 08:00 - 15:30, Tue/Fri 08:00 - 16:00 (30min lunch break)

Start Date: ASAP or after half-term break

Day-to-day of the role:

Attendance Support Duties:

  • Maintain accurate student attendance records and manage data entry on the academy's information system.
  • Send reminders for missing registers and manage first day absence communications.
  • Produce attendance-related reports and resources as required.
  • Liaise with staff, students, parents, and external agencies regarding attendance issues.

Student Reception Duties:

  • Assist with the student admissions process and maintain up-to-date student records.
  • Support the Engagement Admin Team Leader with data checks and updates.
  • Handle student enquiries effectively and support the Senior Staff on Duty system.
  • Supervise students in designated areas and ensure all activities are logged accurately.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SIMS database is highly advantageous.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
