Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee project activities within our client's Regulatory Affairs and Project Delivery department based in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of project delivery globally, ensuring that projects are onboarded and managed to meet approved timelines and milestones. This role involves maintaining positive client relationships and delivering projects on schedule, while liaising with consultants and client contacts.

Hours of work 9.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage programme delivery to maximise benefit and value to clients and the business.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and develop and implement mitigation plans.
  • Assign tasks to project implementation teams and ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Compile progress reports and make presentations to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure programme operations comply with internal control policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve productivity, efficiency, and reduce delays.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in delivering multiple large-scale programmes effectively.
  • Proven ability to run programmes to time and cost.
  • Experience working across business functions with both in-house and external consultants.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, MS Office, and Base Camp.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or Communications.
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Professionalism with the ability to adapt to client situations and manage expectations.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on delivering work of a consistently high standard.

Special Factors to consider:

  • Overtime and weekend work may be required.
  • Ability to attend domestic and international technical conferences/exhibits as needed.
  • Travel is primarily within the UK & Europe, with approximately 5 - 20% of time spent travelling. Global travel may also be required.
