Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Historic Property Renovation)

Location: Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire

Salary: £50,000 per year + Car Allowance + Bonus

Role Description: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of historic property renovation projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality restoration work.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project expenses.
  • Contract Management: Administer contracts, handle variations, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Budget Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to achieve project goals.
  • Historic Preservation: Understand the unique challenges of working with historic structures and materials.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in historic property renovation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimation software, contract management tools, and Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in analyzing data and managing project finances.
  • Driving License: A valid driving license is essential due to site visits.
