We are partnering exclusively with a well known not for profit organisation to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a temporary basis. The organisation is going through a period of change implementing a whole new system and remapping all processes, this role will be supporting with the day to day Assistant Accounting duties to support the team.

Responsibilities
- Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts, and input data into accounting software and databases.
- Complete quarterly VAT returns
- Manage sales and purchase ledgers
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Audit and verify the accuracy of business accounts, reporting errors to the Accounts Manager
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly management accounts detailing income and expenditure
- Manage the payroll process and employee expense claims
- Assist the Accounts Manager and external accountants with administrative duties
Your profile
- A proven track record in an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeping role
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel and able to produce reports
- Thorough attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritise
The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
