HR Advisor

A growing, multisite business is recruiting an HR Advisor to manage ER cases and support an HR Manager.

Your new role
This is a new and exciting 'hands on' HR position, supporting a team of 100+ staff across multiple sites (some travel may be required). Duties include but not limited to:

  • Employee relations casework, including managing sickness cases, absence management and performance management.
  • Managing investigations, grievances and disciplinaries.
  • Note-taking for ER meetings.
  • Administration for T&A system.
  • Acting as an HR mentor and support for managers and directors across the business.
  • Supporting with compliance, payroll, and H&S administration as and when required.
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment from advert through to onboarding.
  • Managing new onboarding programme/processes.
  • Managing agency relationships.
  • Supporting and promoting the company's benefits platform.
  • Dealing with daily HR enquiries, face-to-face or via telephone and email.
  • HR admin including starters and leavers paperwork, holidays, all personnel updates.
  • Working on PeopleHR and being actively involved in project work to support this system.
  • Support and cover for the HR Manager when required.

What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this job, you will require

  • To be an active listener with great people and communication skills.
  • The ability to deal with people at all levels.
  • To have a minimum of 2/3 years current generalist HR experience.
  • CIPD Level 5 (preferred)
  • A down-to-earth approach to your work with a positive and 'can do' attitude.

This job would suit a 'hands on', approachable candidate with a warm personality, a strong work ethic and the ability to work as part of a small team. You will be a support for the HR Manager whilst also managing your own workloads on a day-to-day basis and being the first point of contact for all employee enquiries.
