We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school located on the beautiful Thanet Coast. This full-time, temporary position is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about science education and enjoys a dynamic teaching environment. The role involves delivering pre-planned science lessons and providing general cover when needed, with no planning and marking required.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Deliver engaging science lessons to secondary school students using pre-set lesson plans.
  • Provide general cover across various subjects as required, ensuring continuity of learning for students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Utilise a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor student engagement and participation, providing support and encouragement.
  • Liaise with other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in science.
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school environment.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and needs within the school.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and student development.
