A long-standing manufacturing company based near Salisbury is looking for a part-time Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their team due to the current incumbent retiring after 12 years in post. Your new role
In this part-time role, with a total of 25-28 hours worked throughout the week, you'll handle the company's financial transactions to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your main tasks will include promptly processing sales invoices, allocating received payments from customers, and managing credit control, including setting and monitoring credit limits for customers. You will also ensure all supplier invoices are processed, and payment runs are performed in a timely fashion, reconciling the ledgers monthly, as well as managing petty cash, fixed assets, and payroll. You'll prepare the VAT returns and support with preparation for annual audits and keep all documents well-organised. Your role is vital to the company's financial health, and you may be asked to take on other tasks as needed to support the team.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would bring a wealth of experience in bookkeeping, with a strong preference for those with experience of Sage Line 50 software. They should be methodical, dependable, insightful, and trustworthy, capable of both independent work and collaboration within a team setting.

What you'll get in return
25-28 hours per week, with flexibility on how those hours are structured over the week.
£15.00 - £18.00 per hour.
You'll be automatically enrolled into the company's pension scheme following a three-month probation period, securing your future as part of our commitment to your well-being.
