Salary: £23,868 - £24,843 pro rata / £12.24 - £12.74 per hour

Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Duration: This is a permanent role which offers realistic salary progression based on annual reviews.

Interview: Week-commencing 23rd September.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Revenue Manager as a Holidays Assistant (Revenue and Data Assistant) for a £22m business, based at our head office, Heelis.

Internally you will be known as a Holidays Assistant.

Holidays is a special commercial area of the National Trust, genrating £20m income through 522 cottages and 21 campsites. As a team we are responsible for the end to end running of Holidays, from bookings, website content, guest experience and all the operating elements of running a self-catering and camping business.

It is an exciting time for Holidays, we are passionate about the experiences we give our guests. The Revenue and Data Assistant (known internally as Holidays Assistant) is an essential role that provides support to the Revenue Manager for operations and development of the Holidays business.

What you'll be doing

You'll have exceptional skills with data and Excel and be tech-savvy to navigate multiple systems to access data to compile reports. You'll have an eye for detail and be able to accurately and efficiently update live systems under the guidance of the Revenue Manager. You'll be articulate and have good presentation skills, distilling technical language and data into reports that are understood across the wider organisation.

Who we're looking for

  • Proven experience in handling and inputting data, ideally in the travel sector.
  • Commercial awareness and have demonstrated experience of presenting clear narrative from data to influence decision making.
  • Experience of dynamic pricing in Holidays booking systems.
  • Good working knowledge of both Traveller and INSITE.
  • Strong understanding of AirDNA.
  • Working knowledge of dashboard reporting via NTA.
  • Understanding and experience of displacement calculators in a hospitality or travel setting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good understanding of UK Holiday market; competitors and trends.
  • Highly organised with first class planning skills.
