Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a new challenge? Our client, a leading healthcare organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their Hard FM Estates management team as an Electrical Engineering Manager. As the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to supervise the electrical engineering element of the Hospital, ensuring the highest standard of work and compliance with all statutory requirements. This is a permanent position with a competitive annual salary of £40,000.
- Supervise the electrical engineering team to ensure all works are completed to the highest standard and within contractual SLAs.
- Take responsibility for the statutory compliance of all electrical systems on site, acting as the Authorised/Responsible Person for HV/LV and Fire systems.
- Manage specialist service contracts to fulfil Serco's obligations.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures for plant and equipment, aiming for high standards and minimal downtime.
- Produce and review the annual planned maintenance schedule for all electrical services.
- Coordinate resources to deliver planned and reactive tasks effectively.
- Provide technical and supervisory support for capital schemes.
- Deputise for the Electrical Engineering Manager when required.
- Electrically qualified, ideally with experience in a hospital environment.
- Previous experience as an Authorised/Responsible Person for HV/LV and Fire Safety Systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical systems commonly found in a hospital setting.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and basic IT skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports.
- Availability for on-call duties on a rostered basis is required, with the ability to attend site within 45 minutes.
- Discretion is essential when visiting patient areas, prioritising privacy and dignity.
- Occasional visits to the mortuary may be necessary.
