Lecturer in Science (Physics)

We are inviting applications for a full-time Lecturer in Science, specialising in Physics, at our Harrow campus. This role involves teaching across a variety of courses including A Level, BTEC Science, GCSE, Access to HE, and T Levels. The successful candidate will join a thriving team committed to excellence in science education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach Physics across different levels and courses such as A Level, BTEC, GCSE, Access to HE, and T Levels.
- Engage and inspire students aged 16-18 through effective teaching strategies tailored to this age group.
- Prepare, plan, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on students' progress and achievements.
- Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure content is up-to-date and relevant.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student learning experiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Science, with a specialisation in Physics.
- Experience teaching Physics up to Level 3, including A Level, T Levels, and/or BTEC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Either already possess or be willing to achieve a Level 5 teaching qualification, which the College will support financially.
