Our client, a fire and rescue service have an exhilarating opportunity for a talented individual to join their award-winning Transport section at their vibrant workshops in Rotherham.

Equipment Technician
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Grade 4 - £24,294 - £25,979
Hours: Full Time - 37 Hours per week
Work Pattern: Mon to Thurs 0730 - 1530, Friday 0730 - 1500
Location: Rotherham, S65

Be a part of their vehicle and equipment repair workshop where you'll dive into a world of thrilling challenges and cutting-edge repairs. Your mission? To bring their many and varied items of emergency service equipment to peak performance through repairs, modifications and top-notch maintenance.

What they're looking for:

  • Experience and expertise in repairs, maintenance and servicing of portable equipment, small plant and ladders.
  • Tech-savvy superheroes: command over the repair and maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Some knowledge of repair techniques to water pumps, small plant, ladders and portable equipment.
  • Diagnostic geniuses: unleash your prowess in diagnostic and repair techniques.

Qualifications & Superpowers:

  • Hold a recognized qualification or equivalent experience in small machinery repair or similar.
  • Zooming in style: possess an LGV Driving License - Class 'C' minimum.
  • Team player or lone rider: ability to work independently or seamlessly within a dynamic team.

New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. They offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years' service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days. They also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme.
