Design Engineer Full-Time Permanent
Salary - Circa £45,000 DOE
Location - In office, Driffield
We're excited to be supporting a long-standing family-owned engineering company, who have over four decades of expertise in the design and manufacture of material handling & processing equipment; servicing clients across Food, Feed, Recycling and Biomass industries across the UK.
Due to a huge demand in their services, they're now looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join their expanding design team of professionals.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
- Produce detailed drawings and plans from site survey information and client specifications
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production
- Supporting the Senior Designers & Project Engineers across multiple projects
- Create engineering solutions to suit project requirements and deadlines
Experiences required
- Competent modelling in SolidWorks for assemblies, advanced part modelling, weldments, and sheet metal
- Mechanical Engineering background or similar
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Experience of working with bulk materials and handling/process equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge and familiarity of survey equipment. E.g. 3D Scanning and interpretation of cloud data is advantageous
