Senior Associate, Finance

£50,000-£60,000 plus bonus

Our client, a global alternative investment group looking to hire a Finance Senior Associate for their growing team in West London. They have a multi-billion-dollar portfolio in AUM across all major asset classes and the globe. The Senior Associate will be joining a dynamic and highly motivated team to be part of their success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management account information
  • Oversee audits for two entities within the UK group
  • Deliver quarterly budgeting and forecasting data, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives and financial targets
  • Supervise and manage UK client billing cycles and fee calculations, ensuring accuracy and punctuality
  • Coordinate and schedule supplier invoice payments to ensure transactions are timely and accurate
  • Prepare complex FCA regulatory returns
  • Maintain the firm's employee expenses system, including the review and approval of expenses
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete
  • Enter and maintain precise accounting data in the firm's financial systems, ensuring all entries adhere to relevant accounting standards
  • Record journal entries for various financial transactions, including accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and other accounting activities
  • Conduct thorough analytical reviews of financial statements and budget reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Present analysis and findings to senior management as needed, clearly explaining complex financial data
  • Participating in process improvements

Key Required Skills:

  • Accounting Qualified (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA)
  • Experience in a corporate accounting, financial analysis or finance business partnering role, preferably in the Financial Services industry
  • Proven experience with complex regulatory reporting (FCA) requirements in the Financial Services industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to identify areas for improvement
  • Experience interacting with stakeholders at all levels, across various locations and business functions
  • Experience in budgeting and analytical review
