Hays Technology are supporting a growing, established business based in Trowbridge to recruit for a new permanent Senior IT Infrastructure Manager. The role offers a salary up to £85,000pa depending on experience (+ bonus & car allowance) and allows flexible hybrid working typically three days per week in office. You'll join an established business that operates globally and prides itself on its ethical and sustainable values.
Your new role
In the role you will head up the infrastructure and operations function, managing and leading a team of 10 across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line. You'll report into the IT Director and work closely with wider senior stakeholders in the IT Directorate. You will provide strategic leadership in the team and promote best practice and driving IT modernisation programmes. You'll help the team with what good looks like and develop solid foundations for a successful IT infrastructure function. You'll also be involved in budget management, IT governance and development / career progression in the team.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you'll need to have extensive IT infrastructure experience and have most recently managed an IT infrastructure / operations environment ideally in a medium to large organisation. You'll have a good understanding of technical infrastructure but won't need to be hands-on yourself, you'll need good experience in leading large scale IT modernisation / IT infrastructure transformation programmes. Ideally, you will have worked in other roles where you need to promote best practice and what good looks like. You'll need to be a good people manager and will need to be able to collaborate with wider teams in the business. Knowledge of ITIL, Agile & Cloud would be beneficial but not essential.
