Position: Senior / Chartered Building Surveyor
Salary: £50-55k based on experience.
Qualifications: MRICS / MCIOB or equivalent.
Overview:
My client is in search of a Senior Building Surveyor who is highly competent, enthusiastic, and self-driven to join their expanding Liverpool team. The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse range of high-quality instructions, primarily focusing on the design and contract administration of new build, extension, refurbishment, and elemental renewal building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design efforts and provide clear direction to Architectural Technologists for AutoCAD output.
- Manage project procurement through the RIBA work stages.
- Advise clients on schemes and projects, including conducting feasibility studies and budget costings.
- Prepare scheme designs with costings, project completion programs, and specifications of works.
- Prepare tender documents and advise on contractor, designer appointments, and procurement routes.
- Oversee contract administration and project management.
- Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Secure Capital funding from funding agencies.
- Conduct Building Surveys, identify and analyse defects, and propose repair strategies.
- Manage and supervise maintenance works, including providing PPM schedules.
- Process planning applications and advise on property legislation, DDA, health and safety, and building regulations.
- Execute party wall procedures for both building owner and adjoining owner.
Desirable Experience:
- Professional Services work.
- Fire Risk Assessments.
- Party Wall surveying.
- Proven experience within a property consultancy, particularly in design and contract administration services is essential.
- Experience providing services to the public sector, ideally the Education Sector.
