Paraplanner
Location: Christchurch or Wimborne
Salary: Up to £38,000+ excellent benefits package
Hours:37.5 hours Monday to Friday - 7.5 hours daily.
Hybrid working: Home & office based
Core working day10.00am-4.00pm start/finish between 8.00am-6.00pm - to be agreed with line manager
Holiday:5 weeks plus 8 bank holidays
Pension:3% of gross salary
Private Medical Insurance: after 6 months service
Bonus: Annual discretionary bonus
Our ideal candidatewill have a good knowledge of platforms, such as abrdn Wrap (formerly Standard Life Wrap), Novia and Quilter along with experience of a back-office system such as Intelligent Office.

You will be liaising with clients, providers, and colleagues so a high standard of communication skills both written and oral, is essential. You will also need to have good analytical and problem-solving abilities and have an excellent attention to detail.
You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks including:
- Providing technical support and recommendations to Financial Advisers
- Preparing recommendation reports and client sign up packs, covering IHT Planning, CGT calculations, VCT/BR products, top slicing calculations, Trusts, DB pension transfers, ISAs, General Investment Accounts, Onshore/Offshore Investment Bonds
- Attending client and product provider meetings
- Processing new business to completion and updating and maintaining our back-office system - Intelligent office
- Ensuring correspondence and telephone calls are dealt with in a professional, speedy manner.
- Liaising with the Compliance Manager, resolving compliance issues
- Builds and fosters relationships, communicating effectively at all levels, to ensure consistent responses
- Interpreting information and statistical data
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver full, end-to-end paraplanning support, including detailed technical analysis, research, and preparation of client reports.
- Assist financial planners with the development of client-specific financial strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Work closely with the team to deliver an exceptional level of service to clients.
- Support the financial planners in achieving successful client outcomes through robust financial planning.
Requirements:
- Must hold Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a paraplanning role within the financial services sector.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to support financial planners with complex advice needs.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
