Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and international SME that are part of a Group within the import manufacturing sector, to recruit for a dynamic and experienced part-time Finance Manager based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire for a 10-month fixed term contract. A hands-on and varied sole finance role reporting to the company Directors and Group finance team where you will manage all accounting processes for the business. Flexible working hours from 24 to 30 per week dependable on candidate preference, open to both part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experience Accountants.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve management of balance sheet reconciliations throughout the year, with preparation of monthly management accounts, leading to a streamlined year-end process. Year-end preparation of statutory accounts and main point of contact for year-end audit, preparation of the annual sales and overheads budget, along with quarterly VAT and import VAT reconciliations/returns. You will manage all accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger processes, credit control, credit applications, stock control, monthly payroll preparation, payment runs and bank reconciliations. You will provide weekly/monthly reporting to senior management and be involved in ad-hoc duties/projects to aid future business growth.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on and varied Part-time Finance Manager role you will need experience in a similar position, key MS Excel skills, and be trained in a range of financial systems. You will have strong double entry skills, be able to manage your own workload to meet deadlines, with strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships at all levels. Ideally, you will have experience within an SME environment and be a strong problem solver. Experience within the important or manufacturing sectors and Sage line 50 would be advantageous but not essential.

This varied part-time Finance Manager role is offering a salary between £38,000 - £45,000 per annum pro rata over 24 - 30 hours per week, based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire for a 10-month fixed term contract.
