A leading university in Central London is currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join their Estates and Facilities team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative and reactive maintenance across designated buildings, ensuring compliance with operational, regulatory, and college standards.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Undertake planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Provide technical and managerial support to Technicians within the team.
  • Ensure operational performance and safety of assigned buildings.
  • Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and other engineers to maintain high-quality service delivery.
  • Adhere to operational, regulatory, and college compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds or time-served apprenticeship in M&E, or an NVQ level 3 in M&E.
  • Grades A-C in English and Maths.
  • Intermediate (or above) MS Office skills.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and guidance.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Significant experience in maintaining and operating building services in a complex environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Desirable Skills:

  • First Aid certification.
  • Legionella awareness.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
