Our mission is to ensure that every person in our care receives the support they need to live a fulfilling and independent life. As they continue to grow and expand, they are seeking an experienced Registered Manager in the Longbridge area of Birmingham to join their team in a 5-bedded LD home and help them maintain and improve services. The provider is established with other homes and a school as part of the service.

We are proud to partner with a leading provider of residential care services to recruit an exceptional Children's Registered Manager for their 5-bedded Learning Disabilities (LD) service. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a team in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities.

  • *Job Description:**

The Children's Registered Manager will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of the 5-bedded LD service. You will ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and individualised support are provided to the children in your care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of care staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Developing and implementing personalised care plans.
  • Creating a positive, safe, and therapeutic environment.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Liaising with families, external agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
  • Conduct regular supervision and appraisals.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures in line with best practises.
  • Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards.
  • Handle any safeguarding issues promptly and effectively.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • *Requirements:**
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a children's residential setting, ideally with a focus on learning disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations.
