Family Intervention Support Worker

We are a not-for-profit organisation which prides itself on being family and employee-friendly in every aspect of the business. With a number of Children and Family Centres across the Cheltenham / Gloucester area, we are a dynamic and engaging service offering early intervention support to families who find themselves in vulnerable situations. We are seeking an experienced and motivated family support worker to join our team. (Fixed term initially until December 2025, with scope for extension based on funding)

Your new role
To make a vital contribution to the direct delivery of a high-quality targeted family support service for families with children aged 0 - 11 years old across our regionWorking as part of a team to deliver programmes of intervention to improve parenting, resolve issues and improve functioning in families.
Participating in a multi-disciplinary approach to working with families and co-ordinate partnerships and services to meet the needs of families.The successful candidate will work alongside Gloucestershire County and District Councils teams, Independent Agencies, local partnerships and the voluntary sector to support and implement the countywide Early Help offer.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will preferably have an NVQ 4 or above in Childcare, Education or Health & Social Care or an NVQ 3, with an expectation to work towards a Level 4. You will also demonstrate a willingness to undertake other training appropriate to the role.
