Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment Group, focusing on manufacturing positions. We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join a large manufacturing business based in Darley Dale on a permanent basis.

Despatch Operative
Are you a Despatch Operative that has worked in Manufacturing and looking for a new challenge?
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7am-3pm, flexibility to work shifts
Salary: £34,320
Key Responsibilities:
- Process orders in accordance with work instructions. Including correct packaging of materials when requested ensuring acknowledged delivery dates are maintained.
- Coordinating with warehouse and production teams to meet dispatch schedules
- Carrying out stock checks and reporting discrepancies
- Maintaining a clean and organized despatch area
- Adhering to all health & safety and company procedures
- Ensure that our freight forwarders/customers have all the information available to them that they require to enable them to receive the parts.
- Putting together of Proof of Despatch (shipping notes and despatch notes) and ensure they are signed at the point of despatch by the relevant drivers.
- Printing of address labels and bar codes as required.
- Labelling of shipments and banding of boxes
- Checking of customer portals to ensure the shipment quantities are correct and can be booked.
- Prioritising order of packing parts to suit customer requirements.
Skills & Experience;
- Must have experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Experience of invoicing
- Experience liaising with customers
- Strong administrative/ computer skills
- Must have FLT License
- Experience using Over head Crane
- Must Have Full UK driving license
- Experience within manufacturing environment
- Experience within an engineering stores
