Placement Officer
Pay: £29 per hour
Contract: Full-time, hybrid working (minimum 1 day in office in Wokingham)
Are you experienced in sourcing placements for vulnerable adults? If so we are looking for a skilled Placement Officer to join our Adult Social Care team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for securing placements for vulnerable adults, including those ready to be discharged from hospital. Working closely with Social Workers and care providers, you will negotiate fees and ensure the best care outcomes for individuals in need.
Responsibilities:
- Source placements for vulnerable adults, including hospital discharges
- Negotiate fees and build strong relationships with care providers
- Communicate with Social Workers and challenge decisions when necessary
- Provide duty cover, including triaging and responding to urgent queries
- Meet deadlines and ensure accuracy in all tasks

- Social Care experience is essential
- Strong communication skills, especially with professionals and care providers
- Resilient and tenacious in challenging situations
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Methodical and accurate in record-keeping
- A team player who can collaborate effectively
